KADUNA: Foundation begins construction of N75.65m medical centre in Southern Kaduna

Zubairu spoke on Monday in Kafanchan during the foundation laying ceremony of the centre. He said: “The facility is for the benefit of all and sundry irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation.
“The success of the project is credited to the unity among members of the association, as well as cash contributions from well-meaning philanthropists within and outside the Jema’a Emirate.”
Zubairu tasked Nigerians, especially politicians on responsible leadership and urged them to engage in ventures that would have direct impact on citizens.
Also speaking, Alhaji Bala Adamu, Head of the project, said that work on the medical centre was abandoned for over 20 years.
“We had to demolish the structure as it was already weak and giving way,” he said, adding that the project now consists of 50-bed capacity wards, theater, laboratory, scanning and X-ray units.
In a goodwill message, the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Muhammad Isa Muhammad, who was represented by Wakilin Gabas, Alhaji Ibrahim Cheche applauded the Jema’a foundation for the initiative.
The Emir prayed for God’s blessings upon everyone who had contributed in diverse ways toward the project. (NAN)
